There have been many partners and pairings for Tiger Woods over the years, but probably the one player he has played with the most in his career is Steve Stricker, the man who has seen the rise and fall of the former world number one, be it as a team mate for the United States of America for the Ryder Cup or as an opposition from across the field and if there is anyone who knows the plays of Tiger the best, it probably has to be Stricker.
And as if fate has intervened once again to resurrect the career of Tiger Woods, he has been paired together with Stricker again for the third round of the World Golf Championships: Cadillac Championships, being held at Doral in Miami in the United States of America and the scheduled tee off for the pair is at 11.25 am on the famous TPC Blue Monster. Steve Stricker, who is one of the best friends of Woods off the golfing circuit was also visibly excited when the pairing was announced, commenting that it was just like the old times when they were paired together most of the times, most famously for four consecutive rounds in the Tour Championships of 2007.
The pair was tied at 5 under par 139 after Stricker had hit a 70 and Woods had a shot of 67. Steve Stricker, who has previously admitted to being intimated by The Tiger during the first few times they were paired together way back in the 1990s has admitted in jest that his friend is not in the best of forms at the moment and the fact that he has been paired with him might turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Tiger who might get some of the magic putting touch from Stricker as well.
